BIOGRAPHY

22 July 1965, Los Angeles, California, USA. Brother of actor Matthew Labyorteaux

A veteran of film, television and stage, Labyorteaux began his entertainment career at the age of three in a local stage play in Hollywood. As a child, he starred in numerous other plays and television commercials as well as feature films, including "Opening Night" directed by John Cassavetes and "Mame," in which he played Lucille Ball's grandnephew Peter. Labyorteaux's film credits also include appearances in "Summer School," the cult hit "Heathers," "Ski School," "Terminal Entry" and "3 Ninjas."

Labyorteaux recently starred in the FOX sitcom "The Last Frontier" but is perhaps most recognizable as Merlin Olsen's son Andy Garvey, in the long-running series "Little House On The Prairie." His television credits also include guest-starring roles on "Lois And Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman," "New York Daze," "Hope And Gloria" and "Living Single." He has appeared in the telefilms "Young Joe, The Forgotten Kennedy," "Prince Of Bel Air" and the mini-series "Captains And The Kings."

Labyorteaux utilized his strong background in comedy to write and perform with Los Angeles' famed Groundlings comedy troupe, in addition to writing the films "National Lampoon's Last Resort" and "Hollywood Palms." He is currently writing an episode of JAG which will air this season.

Labyorteaux resides in Los Angeles with his wife Tina Albanese.
